Dota: Dragon’s Blood Premieres on Netflix in March

DOTA: Dragon’s Blood will bring Dota 2 to the big screen as an animated series. In partnership with Valve, Netflix will bring this animated series on their platform on the 25th of March, 2021.

The anime will have 8 episodes and is animated by Studio MIR who is best known for working on The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender while the show is produced by Ashley Edward Miller who helmed Thor and X: Men First Class.

Netflix just released a short video on its NX Twitter account and Netflix Anime YouTube channel that is meant to introduce new and estranged Dota fans to the world prior to the release of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood later in March.

The Dota 2 series will explore Dota’s lore and the universe and will feature characters Dragon Knight and Mirana from the game.

Seeing esports and community personalities being brought in to help promote the series will probably translate to more cross-promotion for the show and game in the future.
