Blast Partners with Saudi Arabia’s Neom to Help Develop Esports Hub

Danish tournament organiser Blast has announced a partnership with Saudi Arabia to help shape its in-development Neom city into a regional esports hub.

As part of the partnership Blast will develop technology and share expertise to help build the esports academy and develop the sport in Saudi Arabia.

Neom will introduce a new model for urban sustainability and be a place that is focused on setting new standards for the effective and productive use of technology – with esports at the heart of this ambition. The international project will be led, populated and funded by people from all over the world.

Designed as an almost utopian city intended to feature smart technologies and draw in innovators from around the world, Neom is expected to complete its first segment by 2025. Neom aims to become a global hub for sport that unites communities, enables active, balanced lifestyles and accelerates innovation.
