More than 60 million players have parachuted into Call of Duty: Warzone in the past 52 days since its launch, according to Activision Blizzard.
In just two weeks after its launch on the 10th of March, the game achieved 30 million players. After a month’s time, the game reached 50 million and now, less than two months after launch, it has increased its player base to 60 million players.
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Unlike other Battle-Royale games, Warzone brought in a twist to the formula by allowing 150 players per game and the ability to respawn by winning a 1v1 deathmatch with another fallen player in Gulag.
As to the game itself, Activision has committed to supporting it for the long-term. Not only will the game receive constant week in, week out updates, but larger content updates such as proposed 200 player matches are lurking on the horizon. Additionally, Call of Duty Warzone is also set to release for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X next generation consoles too.
