Esports Betting in the UK Rose Significantly During Covid-19

The UK Gambling Commission released new statistics that shows an incredible growth in esports betting during these past few months of the coronavirus lockdown.

The year on year increase has jumped a massive 2992%. To put that percentage into numbers, last year UK betting operators made £50k in revenue. In 2020 so far, UK betting operators have made £4.6m. This number is approximately 4% of all esports revenue

The year on year growth from March 2019 to March 2020 had a rapid expansion indicating that even before lockdown, esports betting was on a steady rise in the UK.
