FaZe Clan defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas in the grand final at the latest Rainbow Six Siege tournament.
Following a week of competition, the Six Sweden Major has now come to a close. The grand finals took place on Sunday, seeing Ninjas in Pyjamas facing FaZe Clan for the title of champion and the largest share of the event’s $500,000 prize pool.
The series between the two Brazilian rosters was quite the action-packed one, with FaZe taking the first map, Ninjas in Pyjamas then proceeding to clutch up map two and three, before FaZe locked up the series with victories on maps four and five.
This result has not only awarded FaZe $200,000 in prize money, but it has seen the team take home another boatload of Six Invitational Points, securing the team a slot in the Major tournament set for February.
As part of their victory, FaZe Clan’s Jaime “cyb3r” Ramos also took home the award of Tournament MVP, adding to his success, which also saw him take the Quarter-Finals MVP and Finals MVP awards.
The Six Invitational 2022 has been confirmed to be scheduled between the 8th and the 20th of February 2022, provided it is not postponed like the 2021 event was. This is according to an announcement from the Sweden Major desk before the grand final. The event will return to its home in Montreal, Canada, but it will not have a live audience at the venue.
