ESL Gaming has announced that it is working with the parent company of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Krafton, to bring a couple of new series to the competitive PUBG scene. This includes four ESL PUBG Masters tournaments that will be shared between the Americas and Europe, as well as three ESL PUBG Open tournaments in Europe.
The four ESL PUBG Masters tournaments over the year will be split between Europe and North America, and each event will even reward PUBG Championship Qualification Points. The first phase for the event is set to begin on the 7th of April, with the Grand Finals set for late April-early May.
There will be three PUBG Open tournaments over the year. The summer event will take place in June/July, the fall event is planned for September, and the winter event is set for November. While these events are open to anyone, the top competitors at the summer PUBG Open will be rewarded with an invitation to the ESL PUBG Masters tournament. The specific dates for the tournaments are set to be revealed closer to the events.
