Rocket League Becomes Free To Play This Summer

Video game developer Psyonix, recently announced that Rocket League is going free to play later this summer. The free to play game update will be the biggest one yet.

Changes include updates to the Tournaments and Challenge systems. Psyonix will also add Rocket Pass progress, and Competitive Rank, by linking to an Epic Games Account. However, the game itself will be the same as featured on other platforms. It will have cross-platform play with all of the Rocket League platforms.

Anyone who has played Rocket League online before free to play was announced, is automatically rewarded with the Legacy status. In addition, if you’ve played online before Rocket League announced this, you will receive the Faded Cosmos Boost.
