The 2025 Global Esports Games will be held in Dubai, according to the Global Esports Federation (GEF). The news was confirmed at the Dubai World Trade Centre during the 2022 Global Esports Tour.
After Singapore hosted the inaugural event last year, the hosting cities will be as follows:
2022: Turkey (Istanbul)
2023: Saudi Arabia (Riyadh)
2024: China
2025: UAE (Dubai)
2026: United States
The second annual Global Esports Games will be held in Turkey between the 14th and the 18th of December this year.
The list of games that will form part of this year’s event in Turkey have not yet been announced, but it would be surprising if the number of games has not been expanded to include more popular esports titles.
Dota 2, Street Fighter V, and eFootball PES 2021 contests were held during the opening ceremony of the Global Esports Games in Singapore, with players and teams participating in their respective regions.
GEF also organises the Global Esports Tour, a series of professional esports competitions held in cities around the world throughout the year. The tour recently concluded with a $250,000 CS:GO event, won by Ninjas in Pyjamas.
