BMW Launches First Ever Esports Tournament

BMW Group Middle East have announced that they are hosting their very first esports tourmanent, named “Battle of The Gamers”. The concept is composed of three elements, gaming podcasts, tournaments, and esports coaching sessions.

It is an online-only tournament meant to bring together the best gamers of the Middle Eastern region, with a prize pool of 50,000 USD. Players will be able to participate in games such as Fortnite, Dota 2, and FIFA.

For pro-gamers, BMW have organised a series of activities such as live chats and preparation and training for tournaments, and clubs scouting. Casual gamers are provided technical coaching, tips, tricks and training sessions.

The tournament already kicked off May 14th, and when the tournament comes close to an end, select games will be broadcast with live-stream commentary.
