Valorant players will be able to test their limits in ranked play soon. As announced by Riot Games, Valorant’s competitive mode will become available in Europe and North America soon after patch 0.49. However, a specific release date for this patch has not yet been revealed.
Valorant has achieved some ground-breaking success in its closed beta stage. The developers behind the game have put in a lot of effort to make the game better for the players and to ensure its place as an esport title. Valorant has managed to hold its head up high against giant rivals like CS:GO and Rainbow Six Siege and has already broken their record viewer counts on Twitch even before the official release of the game.
Valorant’s competitive mode will feature an eight-division system similar to League of Legends. There are three tiers for Iron (the lowest rank), Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, and, the highest rank, Valorant. The full details of the update can be seen in the blog post here.
Valorant is a free-to-play character-based tactical shooter in its closed beta phase. Players from the U.S., Canada, Europe, Russia, and Turkey can gain access to the closed beta by creating a Riot account, connecting it to a Twitch account, and watching Valorant streams on Twitch. The game is slated for a summer 2020 official release.
