DAMWON Gaming Are The Worlds 2020 Champions

In what might go down as one of the great, if not the greatest, League of Legends World Championship finals of all time, South Korean team DAMWON Gaming took down Chinese team Suning with a score of 3-1.

Both the teams managed to start off head to head in the initial clashes of the series, tieing at a score of 1-1 in the first two games.

However, games three and four saw DAMWON Gaming dominate the series without leaving any margin of error for their Chinese counterparts to capitalize on. The former managed to land themselves back to back wins in both the games and ended the best-of-five series with a scoreline of 3-1 in their favour.

Viewers of the grand finals also witnessed the first pentakill in the history of League of Legends to be done in a Worlds finals coming from Suning star Chen “Bin” Ze-Bin.

With this victory, team DAMWON Gaming have earned themselves a 25% share of the Worlds 2020 prize pool and the title of the best League of Legends team in the world.
