ESL One will keep the Dota 2 action going and the teams in shape during the break between the final Major of the Dota Pro Circuit and The International 10 with a USD 400,000 tournament running between the 16th and the 20th of June.
The event will feature a total of 12 teams in the online competition for the title and a share of the prize pool. The tournament will have directly invited teams, but it will also give a shot to those who want to test their strength via open and closed qualifiers rounds.
The open qualifiers will run between the 25th and the 26th of May with two teams making it out of the single-elimination bracket into the closed qualifier. The closed qualifier will feature the two open qualifier winners and two teams that received direct invites playing in a double-elimination bracket on the 27th and the 28th of May, with the winner qualifying for the main event.
More details about the event, including invited teams and main event format, will be released once the DPC regional leagues wrap up their second season. Registration is now open for the open qualifier on the official ESL website.
