Gamers Without Borders Hosts Charity Event

Gamers Without Borders have announced that they will be hosting an eight-team Dota 2 charity tournament between the 15th and the 17th of May with a USD 1,5 million prize pool that will be donated to coronavirus relief charity foundations.

Two-time The International champions, OG, and last season’s top-ranked squad, Team Secret, headline the list of participating teams. They will be joined by Alliance, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, Team Nigma, and Virtus.pro.

The winners of the tournament will donate USD 750,000 to charity, while the runners-up will donate USD 350,000. The third and fourth-place teams will both donate USD 100,000, while the fifth to eighth-place teams will donate USD 50,000 apiece. Spectators and fans are also encouraged to make donations through the official Gamers Without Borders’ website.

The action begins at 5am CT on the 15th of May, with a full schedule to be revealed closer to the first match.
