TI10 Qualifiers Schedule Announced And Dota Plus Summer 2021 Content Update

Valve has confirmed the dates for The International 10 closed qualifiers for all regions and released the Dota Plus Summer 2021 treasure along with seasonal quests and a couple of returning features.

12 teams will lock themselves in for the biggest esports event via Dota Pro Circuit points, which leaves just six slots up for grabs in the regional qualifiers. Each of the six major regions will have one ticket to offer to TI10.

The TI10 regional closed qualifiers dates are:

  • CIS & South America: 23rd to 26th of June
  • North America & Southeast Asia: 30th of June to 3rd of July
  • China & Europe: 7th to 10th of July

The International 10 will be held between the 5th and the 15th of August in Stockholm, Sweden, at the Avicii Arena with a USD 40,018,195 prize pool. The group stage matches will run from the 5th to the 8th of August, while the playoffs are scheduled to begin on the 10th of the month and will culminate with the grand finals on the 15th of August.

While Valve chose not to release a second Battle Pass for TI10, which has been postponed from 2020, Dota 2 players will still have new item sets to grind for and will find a few returning features with the Dota Plus Summer 2021 update. High Fives and Guild Banners are back, letting players interact with their teammates and represent their guild by placing the banners on the map.

The Summer update also includes a treasure chest available for purchase via Dota Plus shards. The chest contains 10 new item sets for:

  • Chaos Knight
  • Phantom Assassin
  • Outworld Destroyer
  • Wraith King
  • Sven
  • Treant Protector
  • Huskar
  • Brewmaster
  • Storm Spirit
  • Naga Siren

The treasure also contains Trod & Cheddar, a new courier which comes preloaded with random prismatic and kinetic gems, but which has a very rare drop chance.
