The eighth edition of the World Esports Summit has been officially announced by the International Esports Federation (IESF). Taking center stage at the BEXCO Convention Hall, in Busan, South Korea, this grand event is scheduled to run between the 28th and the 29th of November.
The WE Summit will be a congregation of key figures from the esports and sports industries, influential global brands, government representatives, and dedicated members from IESF’s 140 federations. Their mission is to enhance the collective understanding of the current esports landscape, dissect its challenges, and craft innovative solutions.
This event will feature engaging discussions and problem-solving sessions led by esports experts. The roster of speakers include, among others, the following:
- Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Sultan Al Saud – IESF Acting President
- David Nichel – ESL Senior VP of Public Affairs
- Jonas Gundersen – COO of Ninjas in Pyjamas & Co-Founder of Tribos.AI
- Dave Lee – IHC CEO
The summit is set to delve into a range of compelling panel discussions, delving deep into the impact of esports on diverse areas such as education, competitive success, health, and legacy.
Keynote speakers and representatives from global gaming powerhouses will engage in insightful discussions on these critical topics.
This year’s summit follows the resounding success of the World Esports Championship in Romania, where 111 countries from six continents participated.
The ESI Hall of Fame Awards will be held at the World Esports Summit, in collaboration with Headline Partner IESF. Taking place on the 28th of November as part of the 8th WE Summit, the ESI Hall of Fame aims to honor remarkable individuals worldwide who have made substantial contributions to the esports industry. Since its inaugural ceremony in 2018, the awards have traveled across the globe, from London to Los Angeles, and now, to Busan.
