Drive-In Esports Arenas to Open in The US

Drive-in esports arenas may be the next attraction in the coronavirus era.

Real estate investment company Horizon Group Properties has entered a partnership with esports analytical company Harena Data LLC to open several esports drive-in arenas in the US.

In a world of changing retail, the goal in facilitating this partnership is to bring entertainment for consumers that are seeking new forms of traveling to the mall. The drive-in esports experience will initially be located at Horizon-owned malls in the following cities:

  • Louisville, Ky.
  • Gettysburg, Pa.
  • El Paso, Texas
  • Laredo, Texas

Mirrored after the classic drive-thru cinemas which became hugely popular in America back in the ’50s and ’60s, the drive-in esports arenas are set to allow esports fans to reconnect with their passion in a way that’s safe and promotes social distancing.
