Development of Esports Island in Abu Dhabi

The UAE has announced the development of the world’s first esports Island in Abu Dhabi. Led by True Gamers, an international network of esports clubs, this venture aims to revolutionise the esports landscape by creating an immersive and dynamic ecosystem for gamers worldwide.

Valued at over $280 million, this project will include a professional training facility, state-of-the-art tournament venues, content creation spaces, and a luxurious hotel, featuring 200 rooms equipped with high-performance computers, alongside spa amenities and beaches.

Game-inspired experiences including a PUBG-style parachute check-in are being planned for the hotel which is envisioned for the island. There will also be children’s esports camps to foster the next generation of gaming enthusiasts.

A business hub called Digital Tower will include workspaces, an accelerator for startups, high-speed technologies, and animation development studios.

The project is in collaboration with leading gaming collectives including BetBoom Team, Virtus.pro and Team Spirit.
