DreamHack Anaheim Returning with In-Person Event in February

DreamHack has announced that during the coming February, it will be hosting its first in-person US-based festival in two years when it returns to Anaheim, California. The festival is set for the 11th to the 13th of February 2022, at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The event will feature esports tournaments, a LAN party, an expo, cosplay competitions, live music, community tournaments, speedrunning, panels, and more. Early bird tickets are now available to those looking to participate as spectators starting on Thursday, the 7th of October.

This event will take place for 24-hours straight and will see a return to the festival following its last appearance in February 2020.

The last DreamHack Anaheim took place between the 19th of January and the 23rd of February, 2020. The Swedish manufacturing company had planned to host the in-person festival in late 2021, but was forced to suspend the event because of the Covid-19 virus’s spread.

In the press release, it was also mentioned that the event will be following strict Covid-19 protocols, where attendees will require proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test to attend.

The full schedule for DreamHack’s 2022 calendar will be unveiled in December.
