North American organisation FaZe Clan has announced a partnership with comic book publisher DC Comics. In a new crossover with DC Comics, FaZe Clan will be appearing in a limited edition comic alongside Batman and several other related DC superheroes on the 24th of September as part of the Batman Month celebration lineup.
FaZe’s collaboration with DC Comics marks the first time an esports organisation has worked with a comic book publisher on a limited edition comic release. Earlier this year, Epic Games collaborated with DC Comics on a five issue limited run featuring a Batman and Fortnite cross-over written by Epic’s Donald Mustard.
The official “FaZeClan” comic will feature the likes of popular members FaZe Banks, FaZe Apex, FaZe Temperrr, FaZe Rain, FaZe Adapt, FaZe Rug and FaZe Blaze in Super Hero form, while also providing limited cover variants featuring the four founders.
Alongside the comic book, FaZe will also release limited-edition merchandise in collaboration with DC that will include products such as esports jerseys in multiple colorways, tees, hoodies, pajama sets, mousepads and more. These items will be available on the 24th of September, at 12pm PT on fazeclan.com with select items available on shop.dccomics.com and NTWRK.
This year, FaZe Clan has announced a variety of collaborations ranging from non-endemic brands to esports organisations. The organisation has secured a deal with OpTic Gaming to launch a jointly branded merchandise range, as well as linking up with Takashi Murakami and Xbox.
