Italy Is The New European eFootball Champion

The Italian national team took home the trophy of the official UEFA eEURO 2020 on Sunday. The Italian national team destroyed France in the semi-finals and took on Serbia in a low-score best-of-five final.

Despite the tournament having been postponed, virtual football did not stop. With the 16 best teams already qualified for the finals out of 55 national associations, UEFA and Konami decided to run the decisive matches online.

The Italians were competing without their three professional players (Juventus’ team members Ettorito, Ildistruttore and LoScandalo). Instead, AlonsoGrayfox, Naples17x, Nicaldan and Genoa_Npk02 wore the azzurro kit and showed those watching that they are also top-level players. Italy defeated Serbia in the finals for three wins to one (best-of-five) in intense matches with low scores.

Serbia was one of the teams to follow in the championship, as well as France. The Italian national team defeated PES League 2019 World Champion usmakabyle (and his partner, Lofti) in the semi-final and Israel before that without a single lost game. The route to the finals wasn’t that easy for the Balkan team, as it had almost been beaten out against Spain in the quarter-finals and suffered against Romania in the semi-finals.

The eFootball PES 2020 Eurocap is over and the Italians took home the trophy and the EUR 40,000 prize.
