Psyonix and Rival esports have partnered to create The Field, which is Rocket League’s brand new feeder system. This team-based league is built for everyone, from player’s just starting out in competitive Rocket League to star professionals. This new feeder system was created in order to create a smart ecosystem for gamers, so players can hone their skills and be able to take their game to the next level.
The Rocket League Championship Series won’t replace their feeder called Rocket League Rival Series (RLRS) with The Field. Although, teams that are successful in The Field have a chance to break through to professional leagues.
The Field is split into two regions, North America and Europe. There are three divisions, with Division 1 being the highest qualifying division, enabling players to participate in the Rocket League Championships Series. Division 2 is open for any team holding a Grand Champion rank. Division 3 is for players who do not qualify for Division 2, but can also be comprised of players who decide to leave the upper divisions and form a new team in the third one.
