Greentube To Relaunch Its Ski Challenge Franchise As An Esports Title

Greentube, the Novomatic Digital Gaming, and Entertainment division, has partnered with the Austrian Ski Federation, the German Ski Federation, and Swiss-Ski, a brand of the Swiss Olympic Association, to relaunch its game Ski Challenge as an esports title this autumn.

In a press release, Greentube explained that the new Ski Challenge – which was its first-ever gaming title when it hit the market in 1998 – will provide a true esports experience, complete with new and improved features.

Ski Challenge will include suit and gear customization and other exciting brand-new features, and will also grant players exclusive access to popular tracks from the skiing world including brand new ones that haven’t been part of the game before.

The all-new return of the Ski Challenge franchise, which will take place in autumn 2022, is set to be a hit with the large, active, and global community of fans. Contrary to the original title, it is planned to operate the game all year long and not only during the skiing season.

Ski Challenge established itself as a legendary title when it was available to play on desktop. Now, it is brought back also as a true esports mobile app, to players old and new.
